There are many different roofing systems and choices of roofing fabrics. There are traditional roofing protection methods, such as tar paper or roofing felts. However, there are more modern roofing fabrics that provide better protection.
Polyester Reinforcing Roofing Fabrics (320F, 330S, 350F)
In contrast to the less durable felt and tar paper roofing methods, polyester roofing fabric can provide a stronger layer of resistance to any roof. This reinforcing roofing fabric improves upon the strength, both in terms of tear resistance and tensile endurance, of traditional felts. The material also provides an additional layer of prevention against unexpected punctures and allows for the necessary tensile elongation in its application. Polyester reinforcing roofing fabrics are known for being easy to handle at the time of their application.
Pacific’s polyester roofing fabrics (320F, 330S, 350F) are ideal in conjunction with the use of cold process, water-based asphalt or acrylic emulsion coatings, solvent-based coatings, and mastics, in turn providing reliable reinforcement to roof restoration systems, base flashing details, and the repair of roof splits.Pacific’s polyester roofing fabric is most commonly used with asphalt emulsion, solvent-based process systems, white roof mastic, and white elastomeric coatings, polyester fabric is easy to apply without any wrinkles.
